All On 4 Plus® Dental Implants

What are All-On-4 dental implants?

Losing all your teeth can severely impact your quality of life. While dentures have been a suitable solution for some time now, they lack the comfort, strength, appearance, or permanence of natural teeth. With All-On-4 dental implants, you can receive durable and natural-looking implants that replace every single one of your missing teeth.

This solution is made possible by the All-On-4 Clinic network, which Brunswick Family Dental is proud to be a part of. This network consists of hand-picked clinicians with facilities across the country, all of whom are specially trained to apply All-On-4 dental implants. The term ‘All-On-4’ refers to the replacement of ALL teeth ON FOUR dental implants. It's a modern technique wherein the back implants are tilted 45º to provide the required support for total rehabilitation.

This innovative procedure has many advantages over dentures and older implant methods. One of these advantages is that All-On-4 implants use fewer implants whilst still providing fantastic support. By using fewer implants, there is less in the way of achieving optimal results in terms of function, aesthetic beauty, and long-term maintenance.

So, why choose the All-On-4 Clinic? All-On-4 dental implants are backed by experts, innovators, and some of the country's most reputable cosmetic dentists and implant surgeons. They're a fantastic solution for people with varying dental conditions, including long-term denture wearers who may have developed atrophic jaws.

In fact, All-On-4 dental implants have become the most popular treatment in our clinic today for both full mouth rehabilitation or single arch cases. We can also offer reliable and streamlined solutions using our own All-On-4 Plus and Zygoma Plus treatments in upper jaw cases with extremely poor quality or quantity of bone. Needless to say, this versatile treatment has changed thousands of people's lives across Melbourne and beyond.

Our clinic in Brunswick has created a niche in offering advanced rehabilitation with our All-On-4 Plus approach, amongst other advanced treatments with dental implants. With the experience of thousands of implant placements and associated plastic and reconstructive procedures, and many hundreds of patients that we have treated using All-On-4 and All-On-4 Plus treatments, our results speak for themselves.

What's involved in the procedure?

Before receiving your All-On-4 dental implants, you'll first have to attend a consultation with your clinician. If they determine that you're a suitable candidate for the procedure, you can book the time and date you'd like to receive your implants.

For the first part of the procedure, you'll get your dental implants, which are small titanium fixtures inserted into the jawbone. We place 2 implants in the front of the arch and 2 in the back at an angle. Together, these form the required foundation to support the prosthesis. By placing the implants at an angle, we can avoid the parts of the jawbone that contain nerves that are typical of poor quality. This means we can rely on these implants to support your temporary prosthesis while you wait for your permanent set of teeth.

After approximately 24 hours, you'll receive your permanent set of replacement teeth ( Immediate Final Teeth™). After the placement of the teeth, you will be asked to follow a soft diet so your implant can bond with the bone and your tissue has the opportunity to heal. Letting your tissue heal and your implants bond to the bone is absolutely essential to getting the most from your All On4 Plus® Immediate Final Teeth™.

Though this procedure may seem intense, it's really quite simple. You may experience a small amount of discomfort during the procedure, but we ensure that the process is painless by giving you an appropriate amount of anaesthetic beforehand.

done_all KEY BENEFITS TO All On 4 Plus® Dental Implants MAY INCLUDE:

  • Permanence: Dentures have to be taken out regularly, and other implants typically have to be replaced within 5 to 15 years. All-On-4 implants, on the other hand, are entirely permanent. These sturdy implants are built to last a lifetime.
  • Custom Design: Our laboratory processes are integrated into the All-On-4 Clinic framework. This allows us to guarantee the quality of the restoration by overseeing the production process. You can rest assured that your final replacement teeth will be tailored to suit your cosmetic preferences.
  • Versatility: We're able to provide versatile solutions for even the most atrophic jaws. Those who get turned away from receiving dentures or older dental implants are very likely to be suitable candidates for All-On-4 implants.
  • Easy Maintenance: These dental implants are specially designed to simplify the maintenance and cleaning process. You generally just have to treat them like regular teeth, flossing daily with unwaxed floss and brushing at least twice daily with a proxy brush.
  • Aesthetics: Our dental implants are made using several premium materials, including acrylic, titanium, monolithic zirconia, and porcelain. The latter two materials, especially, give our implants a stunning yet natural appearance that you'll love showing off at dates, job interviews, and anywhere else your day takes you.

How long is the All On 4 Plus® procedure?

The time that it takes to complete the surgery will depend on several factors. These factors may include the condition of your jawbone, how many existing teeth you have, if you need bone grafting, how many arches you need to have done etc. On average, the entire process will usually take between one to three hours.

A few hours after your surgery, you will receive your temporary teeth in which you will wear overnight while the Immediate Final Teeth are being made. 24 hours later, you will come back to our clinic and have your final teeth inserted. It’s important that during these 24 hours that you stick to a very soft diet, but we will discuss this and give you more information in your consultation.

Will the dental implants look natural?

Yes! We individualise and customise each and every smile and can make it as perfect or as natural as you like. The patient get's to have a big say and influence on how their teeth look based on their desires of how they want their smile to be. The teeth can also be made in a variety of shades, sizes and styles. The whole idea of this is that there are no obstacles and we are able to design the smile of your dreams.

The materials that we use to create the final teeth ( high impact acrylic) allows the teeth to look very natural, as well as being strong enough that you can use the teeth just like they were your natural ones. Of course there are things that you should be wary of ( such as biting hard things) but apart from them, you will be able to use them like natural teeth.
